Car photography turntable: the camera stays still, the car turns

One workflow for listing photos, your website and social video: the camera stays on its tripod, the car turns by remote. The same light and the same angles for every car; a full turn recorded in one take. The results below are real footage.

The workflow

  1. 01

Set the speed once on the LCD panel; the remote remembers it.

  2. 02

Camera on the tripod, lights where they always are. The camera never moves again.

  3. 03

Press the remote for a full turn on video. For stills, nudge the car round in small steps.

The operator, tripod and camera in the film illustrate the setup and are the dealer's own equipment; YılPlat supplies the turntable and the remotes. The result shots are real footage from Saint Motors, London.

Frequently asked questions

What equipment do I need for turntable photography?

A camera on a tripod and your usual lighting. The platform supplies the rotation: the speed is saved on the LCD panel and two Bluetooth remotes (8 m range) turn the car. Camera, lights and tethering are your own.

Can I shoot 360° spins for listings?

Yes. Set the speed once on the panel, press the remote and record one full turn in one take. For stills, nudge the car round in small steps; every car gets the same angles.

Does the turntable come with lights or a camera?

No. YılPlat is a motorised rotating platform; photography equipment and editing are yours. The quotation covers the platform, the remotes and your chosen colour and logo only.
